The Analyst Position FAQ
This sounds like a great job. What's the downside?
This is a great job, but it is not a job for everyone. It is a great job for someone who is highly motivated, with a well-trained analytical mind. Someone who works well with others solving short-term problems, who sweats the details and is curious and insightful. If you fit that profile and want an excellent preparation for graduate school and an opportunity to explore school options and work options this could be the place for you. The downside? Yes, there is one, and almost everyone will point to the same thing: flexibility. This job requires it. The work hours are, on average, reasonable. But dealing with litigation work requires more flexibility than in most consulting environments. We work on problems in real time, with schedules we simply do not control. Everyone at PHB is expected to be flexible in their ability to pitch in and get the work done.
