
In his work with attorneys, Dr. Dalton has conducted numerous analyses of competition, including price fixing, vertical restraints, mergers and various allegations of anticompetitive conduct in a diverse set of industries, ranging from appliances and mechanics' tools to steel. He has also prepared many damages assessments in proceedings dealing with antitrust violations, breach of contract, libel and fraud, employment discrimination and wrongful death. Dr. Dalton has testified as an expert witness before federal and state courts, arbitration panels and regulatory commissions.
Prior to joining PHB, Dr. Dalton taught microeconomics and industrial organization at several universities, and he was a research economist at the Federal Trade Commission and a consultant with Charles River Associates. He received a B.A. in economics from LaSalle College and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in economics from Boston College.
