Kirby C. Owen
Director

Kirby Owen has extensive experience consulting to electricity industries, particularly on issues related to competitive restructuring, planning and implementation, as well as privatization. He also has experience working in broader energy sectors, particularly in petroleum industries.

In the electricity sector, Mr. Owen has advised both firms and governments on restructuring issues in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Spain, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. In eastern Europe, he has helped lead PHBÕs work implementing some of the most advanced restructuring plans to date. He has also advised firms on strategic, regulatory and corporate governance issues.

Prior to joining PHB, Mr. Owen was project manager for the Shell Oil Company and an operations manager in the financial services industry.

He holds a B.S., summa cum laude, in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University; an M.S. in engineering from Northwestern University, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow; and an M.S. in management, with concentrations in finance and applied economics, from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
